The Ill-Mannered Man

故事全文

Once upon a time, there was a man who loved to swear at his servants as he ate. When he got too excited, he would even throw his tableware. He did that even when eating at the local inn. The inn waiter often heard him swearing in public. Though the waiter felt that the man was very ill-mannered, he did not say anything out of politeness.

One day, the man came to the inn, as usual, he began to swear as he ate. After he was done eating, the waiter gave him a dog and told him, “This dog catches small animals such as rabbits and birds. Though it is not a very rare or expensive gift, I hope that you like it. ” The man was happy to receive this gift and told his servants to take the dog home.

When it was time to eat, he asked his servants to bring something for the dog to eat as well. Surprisingly, the dog also kept barking while it was eating, just like the man himself! And so, every time it was time to eat, the man kept swearing, and his dog kept barking. Finally, his servants could not hold back their laughter. It was only then that the man realized that the waiter gave him the dog to mock his bad manners.
