The Picky Rabbit

Once upon a time, deep in the forest, there lived a baby rabbit and his mother. Baby Rabbit disliked eating carrots. Mama Rabbit was worried that Baby Rabbit would grow up to be a picky eater, which would be bad for his health. So, Mama Rabbit thought of a way to get Baby Rabbit to like eating carrots.
She told Baby Rabbit,"Baby Rabbit, Tomorrow is your birthday, I have a gift for you."Baby Rabbit said excitedly,"Really? Where is the gift, Mama?"Mama Rabbit smiled and said,"I hid it in the carrot garden. Go find it."Baby Rabbit said,"I will go to the carrot garden right away and search for my gift!"Baby Rabbit ran to the carrot garden, and started to dig for his gift. He dug the whole day, but he could not find it. Baby Rabbit grew tired and thirsty, and went home to have dinner. After dinner, Baby Rabbit asked his mother,"Mama, I have been digging the whole day, but I did not find the gift."Mama Rabbit smiled and said,"Only a diligent child can find the gift."
The next day, Baby Rabbit went to the carrot garden very early in the morning. He dug every corner of the carrot garden, and grew so hungry and thirsty that he had to stop and find something to eat. But there were only carrots in the garden. Baby Rabbit had no choice but to eat the carrots. To his surprise, the carrots tasted delicious! They were sweet and juicy, and Baby Rabbit ate three in a row. After Baby Rabbit got home, he asked Mama Rabbit,"Why have the carrots suddenly become so sweet and juicy?"Mama Rabbit smiled and said,"Because food tastes more delicious after a hard day at work. This lesson is my gift to you."Baby Rabbit said,"Thank you, Mama! You taught me to cherish my food!"
